The HP LaserJet 9040mfp integrates a high-speed monochrome printer, fax machine, scanner, digital sender and copier into one unit to save you time, money and aggravation. Because all five functions are designed to work together, you'll spend less time running cables and learning the vagaries of the new office contraption and spend more time using it productively. Incredibly efficient with 256MB of memory, a 20GB hard drive and a 533MHz processor, you also have the flexibility of parallel and Ethernet connectivity.
The printer delivers outstanding image quality using Resolution Enhancement technology (REt). 600 x 600 dpi monochrome resolution (1200 dpi image quality) gives any document a crisp and professional look. Printing and copying at 40ppm, the 9040mfp has an impressive paper input capacity. Its multipurpose tray holds 100-sheets, while trays 2 and 3 hold 500 sheets apiece and tray 4 holds 2,000 sheets. It comes with a 100-page automatic document feeder and automatic duplexing. You can use a variety of paper up to 11.7" x 17" as well.
The copier produces up to 600 x 600 dpi resolutions and it can reduce and enlarge between 25-400 percent. The flatbed 600 x 600 dpi scanner produces 256 levels of grayscale and is fed via the automatic document feeder.
Faxing is a snap with its 33.6 kbps modem and 50,000-page fax memory. It comes with 100 speed dials, 100-page fax broadcasting and fax forwarding. Its digital sender is an embedded send-to-email function allowing you to convert paper documents to PDF, JPEG, TIFF and MTIFF e-mail attachments and send to any e-mail address in a few easy steps.
